Leading GenAI and cloud delivery governance across six concurrent programs for a multi-site U.S. health system: clinical AI decision support, LLM-powered patient intake, AI and application platforms, self-service compute, and a cloud security posture review. Since the last update the portfolio doubled, and the job shifted from running workstreams to running a portfolio.
Took on three new programs, an AI data platform, an application platform and a cloud security posture review, and brought them under the same governance model instead of building a new one for each. Moved the clinical AI work into a phase-gated model migration, where every gate is re-validated against the clinical evaluation framework before anything moves forward. The compute program is in final preparation for its November hackathon.
Where a program manager's judgment ends and the model's evaluation begins. In clinical AI, "good enough" is not a feeling, it is a threshold someone has to own. I keep thinking about who owns that threshold, and how to make it visible to people who will never read an evaluation report.
